What does the qualification cover?

This qualification provides learners with the first aid skills they require to enter into the children’s workforce. The aim of the qualification is to guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills relating to paediatric first aid.

 

Who is it suitable for?

Anyone who has to deliver first aid as part of their role in either childcare settings or in domestic environments. 
The qualification is designed for learners who have responsibility for children, whether in a work setting or within a domestic environment.

 

How is it assessed?

It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. These may include practical demonstrations and task-based assessments.

 

Do you need to be working to take the qualification?

Learners do not need to be working or undertaking practical placements to take this qualification.

 

How long does it take to complete?

The Total Qualification Time for this qualification is 16 hours. The units must be completed within 6 weeks of each other.
